About me

Dr Konstantinos Myrodias is a Lecturer in International Political Economy at King’s College London (KCL). Before joining King's, Konstantinos was an ESRC Research Associate at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) in London and contributed to the work of the Productivity Commission in the UK. Dr Myrodias was awarded his PhD in International Political Economy at the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2021. His current research is focused on International and Comparative Political Economy, Varieties of Capitalism, and growth models. His research has been funded by the ESRC, the Hellenic Observatory at LSE, the Onassis Foundation, and the Karelias Foundation. He is the author of The Political Economy of the Eurozone’s Rollercoaster, published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2024 (DOI: 10.1007/978-3-031-42198-3). Konstantinos’ research has attracted attention in the media including the Guardian and the Times.

Dr Myrodias’ research interests currently focus on the political economy of the Global Financial Crisis and Covid-19 pandemic and their impact on the growth models in Europe.
