Dimitrios Minos is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at King's Business School. His main research interests are in the fields of development and health economics, as well as political economy. Specifically, he is interested in the role of culture and social behaviour in health, developmental and political outcomes. Dimitrios holds a PhD in Economics from Georg-August-University of Göttingen, Germany, where he also taught for a few years. Before joining the Business School, he was a Teaching Fellow at the Department of Political Economy at King's and Research Associate at the Institute of Health and Society at Newcastle University. Dimitrios also provided consulting services for a variety of national and international organizations (KfW, DFID, World Bank etc.). In his teaching, Dimitrios is interested in non-traditional forms of assessment and the effectiveness of non-traditional teaching methods.
Dr Minos is currently working with Dr Ioannis Laliotis with health and employment data from Greece. A provisional title for one of the projects is 'Collective Action Problems and Economic Incentives in Low Trust Environments'.
He is also working on a project on 'Religiosity and Economic Behaviour'.
