Alexandros Zachariades is a Research Associate of the European Research Council-funded project “Disappearing Act(DISACT)” at the University of Cyprus. He was previously a Fellow at the Department of International Relations at LSE. Alexandros holds a doctorate in International Relations from LSE and completed his undergraduate and post-graduate studies at the University of Exeter and LSE. His research interests focus on small-state foreign policy, Neoclassical Realism and Foreign Policy Analysis more broadly at a theoretical level. On an empirical level, his work deals with the contemporary foreign policies of Greece and the Republic of Cyprus with a primary focus on their foreign policies towards the Middle East and the international relations of the Middle East. Alexandros has contributed articles and has been interviewed by global and regional media outlets, including Al Jazeera, Euronews, Le Monde, Arab News, Mediapart and Kathimerini. He has received scholarships from the Alexander S. Onassis and A.G. Leventis Foundations.
