Musical life at LSE continues to flourish with a series of outstanding lunchtime concerts. These take place on Thursdays in term time. Our lunchtime classical concerts, which regularly showcase an impressively international spectrum of musicians, now rightly enjoy a reputation for both their quality and popularity.
For those who have rarely had the opportunity to go to concerts, these recitals are an excellent introduction to classical music, with varied programmes and instrumental line-ups; for music-lovers the Shaw Library has a wonderful atmosphere, an outstanding Steinway piano, thanks to the generosity of the LSE's Annual Fund, and allows its attentive audiences to hear chamber music in the sort of space the composer wrote the pieces.
The lunchtime concerts are free and start promptly at 1.05pm in the Shaw Library, 6th Floor, Old Building during the Autumn term and Winter term.
