Winner of several international prizes including the distinguished Pierre Fournier Award in 1998, Alice Neary enjoys a varied performing career as a chamber musician and principal cellist of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and tutor at the Royal Northern School of Music.
Alice's discography of some 25 CDs includes the Mendelssohn cello sonatas and concertos by Howells, Patterson and Tovey. Several works have been composed for her. Familiar to listeners of BBC Radio 3, her festival performances include BBC Proms chamber series, Malboro (USA), Bath International, Santa Fe (USA) and Lofoten. She frequently gives concerto performances with leading orchestras.
Viv McLean won First Prize at the Maria Canals Piano Competition in Barcelona, and has performed in all the major venues and with the major orchestras in the UK as well as throughout Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA. Viv plays regularly with leading soloists and in chamber music players.
