Sara Trickey (violin), Daniel Tong (piano)

Hosted by the LSE Arts Lunchtime Concert Series

Shaw Library, 6th Floor, Old Building

Sara Trickey enjoys an exciting and diverse career as a solo violinist and chamber musician. Noted for her “fiery and passionate” performances (The Strad) and her “beautifully refined tone” (Musical Opinion), she performs at many of the major UK festivals and venues.

Sara has performed most of the repertoire for violin and orchestra, with orchestras that include the City of London Sinfonia and the Orchestra of St John’s. She is a founder member of the Odysseus Piano Trio and is currently a member of The Rossetti Ensemble. She led the Bronte String Quartet for six years, winning the Royal Overseas League competition and second prize in the Cremona International Quartet competition.

Daniel Tong enjoys a diverse musical life and is regarded as one of Britain's most respected and probing artists. He has won high acclaim for his recordings, broadcasts regularly and appears at all the UK’s major concert venues and European music festivals. He runs two music festivals, formed the London Bridge Trio and is currently Head of Piano in Chamber Music at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He has appeared as concerto soloist at St Martin-in-the-Fields and King's Place in London. It is good to welcome his return to LSE after ten years.
