In the first in a series of three lectures, Craig Calhoun will discuss the problems which arise from putting a secular conception of the human at its centre for our normative and political imagination. These problems are thrown into relief by contemporary discussions about artificial intelligence and new technologies.

Craig Calhoun (@craigjcalhoun) is Professor of Social Sciences at Arizona State University and Centennial Professor at LSE. He is also a previous director of LSE.
