Imogen is the Programme Manager of the European Cities Programme, a research, engagement and capacity-building initiative focused on the future of European cities. Her research currently focuses on urban climate action, city government innovation and the cultural politics of economic systems change in European cities.
An urban anthropologist, Imogen was previously a Research Fellow at the Centre for Urban Studies and lecturer in the Anthropology Department at the University of Amsterdam. Her work focused on post-growth cities, the new municipalist movement and urban commoning in Europe, particularly in Paris and Amsterdam.
Before that, she worked for several years on London urban policy. She holds an MSc in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford.
