Ricky Burdett, LSE Cities Director, will speak at two sessions at the 10th World Urban Forum from 8-13 February in Abu Dhabi.
The World Urban Forum, convened by UN-Habitat, brings together thousands of urban professionals to discuss pressing issues in sustainable urbanization. The theme of this year's World Urban Forum is Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation.
Burdett will speak in Dialogue 2: "Implementing the New Urban Agenda to Drive Sustainable Change" on the morning of Monday, 10 February using LSE Cities research and analysis. He will also take part in the Urban Talk on the evening of 10 February, alongside 3 other experts. The conversation will focus on "frontier issues" related to climate change, urban adaptation, and mass migration to cities.
