Philipp Rode, Executive Director of LSE Cities, will be speaking at City Makers' Forum - How is London responding to the climate emergency?
London has declared a Climate Emergency and committed to carbon neutrality by 2050, but questions remain as to how these ambitious goals will be achieved and who will implement them. This evening event will bring together a cross-sector network of leaders to explore strategic approaches for London's mitigation and adaptation.
Rode will offer brief reflections on how cities are beginning to address the climate emergency, how it differs from established climate action, and what London can learn from cities abroad.
The forum is part of a series organized by the Future of London and Hatch Regeneris.
