LSE Cities' Executive MSc in Cities brings together urban professionals to rethink large scale-change in cities, with 5 intensive week-long teaching modules in London. This week, the participants are at LSE for the 3rd module: Strategies and tactics for the Climate Emergency.
This Friday, Participants will present their strategies for emissions reductions in critical urban sectors at C40 Cities, a global network of cities dedicated to addressing climate change. The four groups will come up with strategic solutions and related political tactics to achieve radical decarbonization in the following: Oslo's construction sector, Milan's food system, London's transportation network, and Warsaw's building energy sector. In each case, participants will design a strategy to reduce emissions by 15% in 2020 and 70% over the coming decade. In addition to technical recommendations, they will advise on political tactics and mobilisation efforts.
