This public lecture will explore the Gehl approach to studying and understanding how people use public space.
Liselott Stenfeldt will talk about insights from a number of programmes she has been working on focusing on creating healthier neighborhoods for children, designing public spaces that encourage healthy food choices, initiatives crowd sourcing ideas on how best to use a main street in San Francisco, a study looking at what design elements foster play and culture change, and trying to better understand what contributes to people’s feeling of belonging in urban spaces.
