We are making sure that all students can easily navigate the opportunities available to them at LSE. No matter their background, every student should be able to make the most of their time here and enjoy transformational experiences in the classroom and beyond.
Developing learning experiences in partnership with students
Students are partners in developing engaging and inclusive education. The Student Education Panel engages students of all backgrounds to co-create better learning experiences:
- 50 panellists meet twice per term with LSE and LSESU
- Topics range from inclusive classrooms to ongoing improvements to assessments
- Watch Student Education Panellist Sam Huntington discuss how his experiences on the panel have shaped his time at LSE.
Empowering colleagues as innovators, educators and student experience professionals
All staff contribute to LSE's innovative education environment.
- Together, we are shaping our School using interdisciplinary, cutting-edge practice, from diversifying our curriculum and developing inclusive pedagogies to building an education for the future founded on sustainability, digital technology and data science
- Through our Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework, we are redefining a healthier understanding of academic success
- LSE's Centre for Education Enhancement provides training and resources for excellent teaching and learning, supporting out thriving staff-student education network
- We celebrate excellent, inspirational teaching, learning and student experience through annual education awards.
Making student communications more meaningful and consistent
Our student communications programme will deliver a communications framework and overarching creative identity to help us talk to students more consistently and cohesively as a School. We are collaborating with students and colleagues to make sure this new communications approach is both accessible, meaningful, and reflective of the LSE experience.
More equitable access to transformational learning experiences
Through LSE Student Futures, we are widening access to extra-curricular learning opportunities in the areas of investigating and researching, showcasing and publishing, engaging with civic issues, learning off campus, creating and innovating, and developing your career. Made possible by generous donor funding, this initiative supports students to develop as people as well as scholars and professionals. We are partnering with student ambassadors to help develop and promote the programme.
We are continually reviewing and enhancing the systems and processes that deliver the core LSE offer to students and are developing an equitable and sustainable menu of opportunities to inspire students beyond their lessons. More information will be available soon.
