About me

Guy Burton is a Visiting Fellow at the LSE Middle East Centre. He has previously held research and teaching appointments in international relations, politics and public policy in Dubai, Malaysia, the Kurdish region of Iraq and Palestine. His research interests involve the role of emerging powers in a multipolar world, with reference to the Middle East. During his visiting fellowship he will focus on the impact of particular rising powers, specifically the BRICS, in relation to instability and conflict in the region.

Guy has also contributed to the Middle East Centre’s funded research project, Palestinian Attitude Change in Response to Conflict in the Palestinian Territories.
