Fahed is an Assistant Professor from the Department of Mass Communication and Media at the Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait. His research focuses on international, strategic communication with a concentration on the Gulf region of the Middle East.
Fahed was a Visiting Fellow with the Middle East Centre in 2018. He investigated the challenges to digital media adoption posed by culture and demography in the expatriate-majority state of Kuwait. Fahed was previously a Fulbright-Hays Fellow for his research into discourses on Arab democratization and a post-doctoral research Fellow at the Middle East Institute in the National University of Singapore.
