Nilüfer is a PhD candidate at the LSE’s European Institute. Her research challenges the ontological and epistemological Eurocentrism embedded in the discipline of International Relations. More specifically, she explores the essentialized Western knowledge production structures incurred by the ‘East-West dichotomy’ through the case study of Turkey’s liminality within the international system.
Nilüfer holds a research Master’s in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a Master’s in International Political Economy from King’s College London. She has previously completed her BA (Hons) in Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick.
Nilüfer’s doctoral studies are funded by an LSE Studentship.
