About me

Luzia is a PhD student in the Department of Economics. She holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Goettingen and an M.Sc. in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University Berlin. Prior to joining LSE, she was a predoctoral research fellow at the Global Priorities Institute Oxford, an interdisciplinary research institute that tries to answer the question of how we can do the most good in the world. Her main research interests are fertility choices and the strong trend of falling birth rates everywhere in the world. She is currently working on a project that involves IVF data from the UK and estimating how the uptake of IVF depends on how much NHS funding is available.
